The Thomas family set up the Guesthouse in 1971, over the years they have extended and developed Riversdale to be one of the best Guesthouses in Leitrim offering excellent facilities that include an indoor heated swimming pool, gym, sauna, games room, squash court and beauticians.

Riversdale Guesthouse boasts Ballymaloe trained cooks with home cooked meals.

In 1994 Riversdale opened the barge holiday company with the re-opening of the Shannon-Erne Waterway, formerly known as the Ballinamore – Ballyconnell Canal, the traditional style barges proved very popular with their home comforts including a log-burning stove and central heating throughout.

In 2002 We expanded to barge building which is a great success, we have had some beautifully finished private barges built and launched at  Riversdale on their very own private adventure, all loving their new freedom on their floating homes.
